Hope Valley Baskets Ta Dah

Wet weekends = antsy kids, very green lawn, muddy boots, and lots of time for stitching bindings.
But the sun came out today so I got to take some pics( spot the ladybird?).
Hope Valley Baskets had the big Hand-Quilting-Push last week ( I am on a one-a-week mission now having completed, this, this and now this one in consecutive weeks!).
I used the rainy weather and a stinking cold to hunker down and get the binding finished. I just love these fabrics and this quilt.

I feel sort of greedy about these fabrics, I might have to make a second quilt in another design in the same fabrics!

  2. Those fabrics are fab and the quilt is too - what is the grey and did you get it over here?!

  3. In theory you are too late BUT firstly a few of the orignal participant seems to have vanished off the radar over the weekend so we may get spare places and secondly, if we get a whole second batch, I am really tempted to put together a second bee. Fingers crossed either way beause I love your stuff and I'd love to have you in the bee.

  4. Deb! Oh, how I love your quilt. That grey is an amazing color. The colors in your baskets and borders really make me smile! The basket block you used is truly wonderful. I'm a bit choosy when it comes to basket blocks, and I really love this one. I am guessing you drafted the pattern yourself - might I ask where you got the inspiration? Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Your settings are set to no reply, so I cannot reach you "personally". I will return and read more of your beautiful blog. Take care. Una

  5. Thanks for your lovely comments. I think this quilt is going to be a favourite. The grey was a real trauma to choose, i had so many wobbles, then I ran out of fabric and kept reordering the wrong Kauffman cotton from the US! It's called Stone and it's going to be really versatile. The basket block is called postage stamp basket and it's from Quilts!Quilts!!Quilts!!! ( Link to amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Quilts-2nd-Edidition/dp/0844226173/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273571078&sr=8-2). It's a really easy rotary cut block, i'll look out the measurements and post on it.
